ProgrammeHistory documentary•Tuesdays · 6 PM

A historical field documentary that tells Syria’s story through its stones, monuments and ancient cities — and asks why this land, cradle of the alphabet, drew the eyes of the world.

Each episode visits a new archaeological site and uncovers the stories hidden behind castles, temples, churches, mosques, palaces and forgotten cities. The programme introduces the civilisations that crossed this land and the mastery of Syrians in architecture, art, writing, trade and music — linking the silent stone to the people and events that made history.
